Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, typical business hours
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually, depending on experience

Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant / Bookkeeper to support the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations and financial processes. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, reconciling accounts, assisting with financial reporting, and helping ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis and reporting insights
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting procedures
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and improve documentation of financial processes
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to gather information and support financial operations
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency within the accounting function

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • CPA or CPA-eligible is preferred
