Group Driving Position OTR Class A or B Independent Contractor (1099) Group Driveaway Drivers Needed. Driving New Thomas Built School Buses in groups of 3-5, 1 per vehicle, from High Point, NC to delivery location in U.S. and Canada. Delivery locations vary by customer.

General Description of Benefits: TeamQRT Group

• Transportation Provided: Drivers will pick up vehicles in High Point, NC. Upon delivery, transportation is arranged from the drop-off location anywhere in the U.S. or Canada back to High Point, NC.
• Expenses Covered: Lodging and fuel costs are provided while you are active on a trip.
• Canada Tripss: Drivers delivering to Canada earn an additional $0.02 per mile plus a $125 bonus at the end of the trip.
• Pay & Bonuses: Same-day pay is available if all requirements are met. We also offer referral bonuses and clean inspection bonuses to qualified drivers.

Job Requirements: TeamQRT Group

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL. Passenger (P) endorsement Preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable OTR CMV or School Bus driving experience within the last 3 years with spotless reports and a local road test
• Or Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR CMV or School Bus driving experience within the last 3 years with relatively clean reports
• (Uber, Lyft, and ride-share driving do not count toward experience requirement)
• Relatively clean driving reports and employment history
• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service rules and regulations
• Keep accurate daily DOT Driver Logs using the MOTIVE app — paper logs are not accepted.
• Must act in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Ability to work in a team setting, sharing workload and responsibilities with other drivers
• This is an Independent Contractor position — not a Company Driver or Owner/Operator position

Role

• This is an OTR position — not Local or Regional
• Required to attend in-person Onboarding in High Point, NC
• Must take at least 1 trip per month to remain active

Job Description: TeamQRT Group

This is an Independent Contractor OTR CMV (School Bus) driving position that may require staying out on the road for multiple days, depending on the drop-off locations.

Responsibilities:

• Drivers are responsible for the condition of each vehicle during transport and will be held accountable for any damages incurred during a trip.
• Must be on time for both pick-up and drop-off locations.
• Must complete and turn in all paperwork for payout.
• Drivers will travel in groups of 3-5, one per vehicle, and are required to check in with the Lead Driver before each trip departs.

Trip Details:

• After completing a delivery, drivers will travel back to the pick-up location together as a group.
• Same-day pay may be available if all paperwork is accurate, submitted on time, and no accidents or damages occur during transport.

About Us

• We have been delivering buses for Thomas Built Buses since 1980. TeamQRT Inc. is an OTR bus transport company, and we operate a bit differently than other driveaway companies.
• Group Drivers typically travel in groups of 3–5 drivers (one per vehicle) to deliver buses throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Group Driver Pay Scale

• Starting rate: $0.38/mile (drive back) and $0.32/mile (fly back)
• Canadian trips: + $0.02/mile plus $125 bonus
• Trips - 600 miles: pay is based on drop-off location
• Some South Carolina trips pay a flat rate
• Lead Driver positions are limited and offered to proven drivers with at least 6 months at TeamQRT Inc.

Driver Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Passenger endorsement preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable OTR CMV or School Bus driving experience within the last 3 years with spotless reports and a local road test
• Or Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR CMV or School Bus driving experience within the last 3 years with relatively clean reports
• (Uber, Lyft, and ride-share driving do not count toward experience requirement)
• Relatively clean reports, including MVR, PSP, CSA, Clearinghouse

Background, and Employment History

• Applicants who have completed a SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered
• Any accidents in the last 3 years must be supported with an accident report before your application can be processed
