Project Overview:

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); data centre, electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); and life sciences markets.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide field engineering expertise for mechanical systems and equipment installation. Responsibilities include work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, and coordination with construction teams to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements. #LI-CL1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to superintendents and craft for mechanical installation activities including equipment setting, HVAC systems, and associated mechanical components.
  • Support development and implementation of inspection and test plans for mechanical systems.
  • Perform field inspections and ensure installations meet project specifications, codes, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and support work packages and detailed short-term schedules aligned with construction priorities.
  • Prepare construction sketches, field change documentation, and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering to resolve constructability issues and design clarifications.
  • Manage quantity take-offs, tracking, reporting, and forecasting for mechanical scopes.
  • Support material management activities including requisitions, expediting, receipt inspections, and proper storage.
  • Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and other disciplines to maintain construction progress and avoid rework.
  • Ensure compliance with project ES&H and quality programs.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires s bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in semiconductor, data center, EV battery, or industrial construction preferred.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction practices and field execution.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Experience with digital construction tools and planning systems preferred.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to perform field inspections in active construction environments.
