Pay: $33.61 - $52.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Office provides professional nursing care and clinical support for patients within a Cardiac & Vascular specialty practice. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff, the RN supports patient care coordination, triage, education, and clinical procedures in an outpatient setting.

This role focuses on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes. The RN serves as an important clinical resource for patients managing cardiovascular and vascular conditions and treatments.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment, intake, and clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Provide telephone triage and respond to patient questions regarding symptoms, medications, and treatment plans
  • Coordinate care for cardiac and vascular patients, including diagnostic testing, referrals, follow-up appointments, and procedure preparation
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures, examinations, and patient care needs
  • Monitor patient status and communicate changes or concerns to providers appropriately
  • Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results and facilitate follow-up as directed by providers
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and organizational policies
  • Support chronic disease management and preventive care initiatives for cardiovascular patient populations
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support efficient patient flow and exceptional patient experience

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who enjoys building long-term patient relationships in an outpatient specialty setting. This role is well suited for nurses seeking schedule predictability, team collaboration, and meaningful patient interaction without the demands of inpatient shift work or on-call coverage.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.


  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
  • 6 months of nursing experience. Strongly preferred: Cardiology and Electrophysiology RN experience
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
